Beau Rivage translates to “beautiful shore,” which is French for “we have enough money to be casual about the ocean.” The pattern itself is a tight geometric lattice that looks like what happens when you give a very precise person a mandate to create something Mediterranean but not obvious about it.

This custom orange is doing the work of three different colors - it’s got enough red in it to avoid looking like a construction cone, enough yellow to stay optimistic, and just enough brown to ground the whole operation. Against white, it snaps into focus. This is not a pattern that mumbles.

Five yards for this variant means one glorious chair, or two smaller chairs if you’re strategic about the cuts, or a headboard for someone who wants their bedroom to have a position on citrus. The scale is small enough to work in tight upholstery situations - it won’t fight with seams and curves.
